ESSAY QUESTIONS

ESSAY QUESTION 1:
Explain your view of state government’s role in relation to economic growth and/or job creation.

I believe less is more. Less Government involvement More liberty at best. When tax bases are low and people have more in their pockets to spend, the economy takes care of itself.

ESSAY QUESTION 2:
Explain your views regarding the roles state government and parents have in elementary and secondary education.

Again government has no business dictating education. Parents should and must be at the helm to educate our children. Education currently is ruined due to the mess government has made it.

ESSAY QUESTION 3:
What is one of the most satisfying things you have ever done or accomplished and what made it so satisfying to you?

Fighting for states rights and tenth amendment issues between the Feds and the states on 2nd Amendment rights and the Office of Refugee Resettlement.our Constitution Republuc is worth fighting to get it back. States have have sold their soul and lost their liberty over the years for federal control and money. It will be a long process to regain our republic but nevertheless "Eternal vigilance is the price of Liberty" is what I believe to be true.

ESSAY QUESTION 4:
What personal qualities or experiences do you think will best serve you in your role as a state legislator?

I ran to serve not be served and to represent my district rightly because I honestly care about the direction of our nation and state for the sake of my grandsons. As a citizen of the Kingdom of God it is my duty to do good wherever I am serving. Not a lawyer, or for that fact a politician, but a singer/ musician who stepped up and answered a call. It has been an honor to have been elected for this position since 2008. We need good principled believers in Christ to serve in local state and federal positions. Only when your focus is on the Person of Christ can you be strong on those values and principles and be salt and light in places of politics.

ESSAY QUESTION 5:
What bill passed in the last General Assembly that you would have voted against and why, or what bill did not pass in the last General Assembly that you wish had passed and why?

We never dealt with the bathroom bill. Now we have opened a pandora box and the left is shoving their agenda in our face. If there is no intent to carry thru with the legislation then why bring it to the forefront and create the attention. Not dealing with that bill put our daughters and all women at risk.
