ESSAY QUESTIONS
Explain your view of state government’s role in relation to economic growth and/or job creation.
The state government does not create jobs. In order for a business to grow, the government must remove the strict regulations. The removal of such regulations would allow the businesses to grow within their means.
Explain your views regarding the roles state government and parents have in elementary and secondary education.
State government should allow the parents to make the decisions for their children's education. I understand that the parents need guidance but they should have the final say so regarding how their child is educated and what curriculum is used.
What is one of the most satisfying things you have ever done or accomplished and what made it so satisfying to you?
The most satisfying thing I have ever done is receiving Jesus as my Lord and Savior. It is so satisfying because I know that I can go to Heaven some day.
What personal qualities or experiences do you think will best serve you in your role as a state legislator?
I feel like I have the ability to work with and listen to people regarding their concerns. I am a former police officer and most of my former jobs involved working with the public and that has given me a desire to help others.
What bill passed in the last General Assembly that you would have voted against and why, or what bill did not pass in the last General Assembly that you wish had passed and why?
The Bathroom Bill is a bill that did not pass. It is one of the bills that I wish had passed. This bill would have involved protecting our children and our General Assembly let them down by not passing it. Our children are our future and I feel that it is our responsibility to protect them.
