ESSAY QUESTIONS
Explain your view of state government’s role in relation to economic growth and/or job creation.
I suport a small, efficient, responsive govt with low taxes and low regulatory burden on business.
Explain your views regarding the roles state government and parents have in elementary and secondary education.
State Govt should support school choice, local regulation and a strong role for the family in elementary and secondary education.
What is one of the most satisfying things you have ever done or accomplished and what made it so satisfying to you?
Helping citizens with their needs. Specifically helping a child move from autism to a regular academic path for graduation!
What personal qualities or experiences do you think will best serve you in your role as a state legislator?
Connecting with, listening to and responding to citizen needs.
What bill passed in the last General Assembly that you would have voted against and why, or what bill did not pass in the last General Assembly that you wish had passed and why?
I voted against the Newborn Eye Ointment Opt-Out. It passed. The intervention is innocuous. Risk of infection in a newborn eye should not be ignored. I believe in Liberty. But seat belts do save lives.
I would have supported the Vouchers Bill because I believe in school choice.
