Explain your view of state government’s role in relation to economic growth and/or job creation.
Without the ability to educate and establish a capable workforce or offer incentive tax breaks for corporations, our growth could become stagnant.
What are your thoughts about a parent of a child in a low performing public school being provided a voucher equal to the amount of the state’s per-student expenditure that would be applied toward the child’s private school tuition?
I have not recieved positive feedback from educators that a voucher program would increase our overall performance issues.
What is one of the most satisfying things you have ever done or accomplished and what made it so satisfying to you?
Served in the mission field for over 15 years.
The ability to serve others is very fulfilling and as elected I hope to accomplish the same satisfaction in Nashville
What personal qualities or experiences do you think will best serve you in your role as a state legislator?
As a business owner with over 30 years of negotiating major contracts while looking out for my employees and contractors is foremost. My work ethic developed from a single parent home taught me true values.
What bill that passed in the last General Assembly would you have voted against and why, or what bill that was not passed in the last General Assembly do you wish had passed and why?
I believe the Insure Tn expansion could be one of the most important pieces of legislation lacking from our last two sessions that impacted Tennesseans in a negative way
